About me

Hello

I'm Rosemary, the founder and owner of Coachieve

I have been a teacher for over 30 years working in both state and independent secondary schools.  I have worked in management for over 15 years leading teams and as a one-person department with sole responsibility for all departmental teaching, learning and assessment.

I left my education management role in 2023 to pursue career development and train as a coach.  I now coach part-time and teach part-time in FE.

I have a degree in European Business and a PGCE in Business Education.

I hold the ILM Level 5 certificate in Effective Coaching and Mentoring, I'm an associate member of the Association for Coaching where I hold the Accredited award in Coach Training. I also hold a diploma in neurolinguistic coaching practice, this is an area which I am especially interested in and am pursuing further reading and study on.

I am based in North Yorkshire, work in-person or online and am fully insured.

Coaching profile.

All coaches are different and have their unique style and approach.  It's important to find someone you will work well with, whose approach is right for you.  Some factors to consider in choosing a coach include:

  • Would you work better with a more formal or more informal approach?
  • Do you want the options of seeing someone online and/or in person?
  • Do you want an approach which, in general, is more nurturing or more challenging?
  • Do you want a more serious, earnest coach or someone with more humour?
  • Do you want a coach with a professionally recognised qualification and professional body membership?

To help you decide if a coach is right for you, you really need to have a discovery chat, but before that, coaches provide a coaching profile so you can see what type of coaching style they have and if that might work for you.

What kind of coach am I?

I believe many people have untapped potential, as a coach I want to help clients find their confidence, to see and take advantage of new possibilities and thrive in life.

Coaching is a supportive conversation, not an interview or consultation. My coaching style is positive, motivating and nurturing, clients say I have a humorous, natural approach. I work compassionately with clients to identify their desired outcomes and appropriate strategies to move forward, empowering them both personally and in their career or business setting.

In a hectic world, many people struggle to find time to stop and think clearly about their situation or how they want it to develop. I focus on allowing clients space and time to fully consider what they think, listening carefully to their ideas and supportively challenging them to develop and progress. I am flexible and work to the level of challenge which my clients request, sometimes we want a supportive and nurturing conversation and, at other times, they want tough love - it depends on the person and the day.

I chose to take a recognised coaching qualification so clients can be confident that I am ethical and have developed effective skills to enable them to maximise the benefit they receive and therefore deliver value for money.
